	Εἴ τινα πώποτ ἄκουσας ἐνυαλίου φίλον υἱὸν,
	καὶ σθεναρ(ὸν) δυνάμει, καὶ θαρσαλέον πολεμίζειν,
	ἕκτορα τὸν πριάμοιο νόει μοῦνον γεγενεῖσθαι
	ὅν ποτε μαρνάμενον, διομήδης ἕκτανεν ἀνὴρ·
	αἴκε πρὸς τρώων δαναοῖσι μάχην προφέροντα·
	ὃν καὶ τῆδε θανόντα, τάφος ὅδ' ἀμφικαλύπτει· :-
