The manuscript consists of two parts:
- ff. 1-180: written around the middle of the 13th century by Laurentios (cf. Luzzi (2016: 279-280) and Luzzi (2018: 108);
- ff. 185-243: written in the 11th-12th century.
On f. 135v there is a note by a later, possibly 16th-century hand that mentions the date 1276. Luzzi (2016: 280-282) considers this note to be a pseudo-colophon: "Anche la presunta datazione del codice scorialense all’a.D. 1276 – sostenuta dagli studiosi che si sono sinora occupati del suo contenuto innografico –, datazione che sarebbe ricavabile dal preteso ‘colofone’ presente nel f. 135v, è tutt’altro che accertata, dal momento che tale nota è stata aggiunta da mano diversa da quella del copista – come, del resto, era già stato notato, seppure dubitativamente, dallo stesso de Andrés e, con convinzione, dalla Foti – e per di più in un’epoca molto posteriore all’originario allestimento del manoscritto". |
