Comment The colophon by Martinos mentions the coronation of Frederick II, which took place on 22 November 1220 and constitutes a terminus post quem for the manuscript (Turyn 1964: 25).
According to Lucà (2024: 112 n. 24), the scribe Martinos exhibits "educazione grafica salentineggiante". However, the scholar does not exclude the possibility that Martinos may have worked in Northern Calabria or Grottaferrata.
