	Ὁρᾷς μελαμπέταλον ἠργυρωμένον
	Σύγγραμμα τοῦτο πατέρος Γρηγορίου·
	Μέγιστον ὄντως τῆς ἀληθείας φάος,
	Πέλαγος ἀκύμαντον, ὅρμος ὀλκάδων,
	Γλυκὺ νᾶμα πότιμον, ἕρση καὶ δρόσος,
	Ἄρτος πόλοιο Ἰσραὴλ τρέφων νέον,
	Γέρας ὅλης καύχημα τῆς Ἐκκλησίας
	Γῆς οὐρανοῦ κάλλιον ἐξῃρημένον,
	Κῆπος μοναχῶν τῶν κατηγλαϊσμένων,
	Ὅπλου, ξίφος, φαρέτρα, καλῶς σχοινίον,
	Σμιλίον ἀξίνη τε, ῥομφαία, σπάθη,
	Πῦρ, νάφθα, οὐλὴ καὶ τί πλεῖον θανάτου
	Καθ' αἱρετικῶν σφόδρα τῶν ἀνηλίων.
	Ἀλλ' οὗν ἀλαλάξωμεν ἐμφρόνως πόθῳ
	Μέλισμα τουτὶ τὸ χρυσοφαάντερον.

Comment	This epigram occurs in the 11th century manuscript Sinai Hag. Aikat. gr. 342 (f. 73r), but was written by a later hand - the 16th century monk Mathousalas Kabbades (also known as Mathousalas Macheir). As the epigram is thus dated to the 16th century, it is not listed as occurrence in the database.
