Ἴσθι τουτὶ ἄνθρωπε ὄργανον θεῖον
καλλικέλαδον τῶν Σειρηνείων μᾶλλον,
νοῦν πρὸς ὕψος ἕλκοντα καὶ θεωρίαν,
ἄφατον τερπνὴν μυστικὴν εὐοδίαν,
προλήψεις παθῶν ἀποσοβῶν, διώκων,
ἔνθουν, ἀπαθέστατον ὑφ’ ἡδονῆς δεικνύων.
