	Ὥσπερ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ Σαοῦλ τὸ συμπνίγον
	Δαυὶδ διώκει τῇ βοῇ τῆς κινύρας,
	οὕτως γε καὶ νῦν ἡ φάλαγξ τῶν δαιμόνων
	τὸ ψαλμικὸν μέλπουσιν ἡμῖν πυκτίον
	τῇ σῇ κελεύσει, Χριστέ, πόρρω φευγέτω,
	ὅπως δι' αὐτοῦ ὕμνον ἐν μελῳδίαις
	σοὶ προσφέρωμεν ὡς θεῷ καθ' ἡμέραν.

Comment	The epigram is also to be found in the 14th-century manuscript Vat. Urb. gr. 141 (f. 175r), where it does not function as a book epigram.
