	Ἡ πυξίς, ἱδοὺ φίλος, εἴληφε πέρας,
	ἱδρῶτι πολλῷ καὶ κόπῳ μεμιγμένη,
	τῶν σφαλμάτων αὔτη τε πεπλημένη,
	ἐκ τῆς ἀδρανοῦς χειρὸς τοῦ γεγραφότος
	Θεοφίλου τάλανος τοῦ ῥακενδύτου.
	Ἀντιβολῶν τοίνυν δέομαι τοῖς πᾶσιν
	εὐχὴν ἀπονέμωσι τῷ παντεργάτῃ
	Θεῷ δοτῆρι τῶν καλῶν χορηγέτῃ,
	ἵνα ἴλεον εὕροιμι τὸν κριτὴν τότε
	ἐξευμαρίζων τῶν ἀπλέτων σφαλμάτων.
	Εὔχεσθε πάντες τουτὶ τὸν κεκτημένον
	Μαρκιανὸν ἄζυγον ἰητρὸν μάλα.
