Comment The epigram is edited amongst the spurious poems of Psellos by Westerink in his edition (1992: xxxi, 461), but the editor was only based on one late MS, Scorialensis Ψ. II. 1 (16th century).

The poem also occurs in the 16th-century manuscripts Scorialensis Ψ. II. 1 (f. 1v) and Madrid, BNE 4603 (f. 343r).
