Rex Christe verissimum Dei verbum,
Abundanti gloria tua fruatur
Qui hunc librum possidet,
Qui est imago felicissimarum gratiarum.
|Comment||Although the author of this poem exhibits his erudition by using the rare form νητρεκέστατε for the more common ἀτρεκέστατε and by using a highly unusual optative form (εὐμοιρήσειεν) at verse 2, the poem abounds in metrical errors. Only the third verse has the correct amount of twelve syllables.|
