Memento Christe, virgo viro expers Domina, Barptolomaee, jubar Christo longe charissimum, eius qui pientissime librum hunc comparavit, Pancratii praepositi Cryptae ferratae, Domni Blasii ecclesiarchae jugum sacrum portantis, Antonii senis hieromonachi et civium. |
Comment | The metre of this poem seems somewhat problematic. The last two verses of the poem scan faulty and are followed by an unmetrical appendix (καὶ τῶν πολιτῶν). Several words have an incorrect spelling metri causa (v. 4 πραιπόστου, v.6 ἱρομονάχου). The word 'χριστοπάμφιλτον' (v. 2) appears neither in the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, nor in Lampe, A Patristic Greek Lexicon. Although the Lexicon zur Byzantinischen Gräzität hasn't reached the letter χ yet, we could carefully assume that this word is an hapax. Several poems in this ms. mention different persons who have aided in the realization of this codex: apart from the scribe Iohannes ek Rousion and the sponsor of the ms., Pankratios, three additional persons were mentioned: Antonios (hieromonachos), Dios Blasios (ekklesiarches and hierozygos) and Nikodemos. |
