Comment The title refers to στίχοι πολιτικοὶ, the epigram on the other hand consists of dodecasyllables (cf. Barocci 220; CBL 387).

The status of this poem as a book epigram is unsure. An edition of this poem and others by Niketas of Herakleia is in preparation by Nina Vanhoutte.
