Ἄνθρωπος ἐκ γῆς φιλονεικήσας φθάσαι
πρὸς οὐράνιον ὕψος ὑπερηρμένον,
ἐξ ἀρετῶν ἥδρασε κλίμακα ξένην,
ἥτις διήκει καὶ μεταρσίους πύλας
τὰς οὐρανίους, καὶ θεοῦ πέλας φθάνει,
