ἑνάδος, οὐσίη τε τῆς μοναρχίας, | |
ἄφθεγχτον ἀτέκμαρτον μερόπων νόῳ | |
τρισὶ τοῖς ἀτόμοισγε εἴτ᾽ οὖν προσώποις, | |
ἡ τὰ ὅλα δήσασα ἐκ τοῦ μὴ ὄντος | |
παναλκῇ δυνάμει φορέων, ὡς θέλεις, | |
δερκομένοις ἅπασι, καὶ ἀθεάτοις· | |
αὐτὸς οὖν τρισάναρχε Θεὲ τῶν θεῶν, | |
κύριε τῶν κυρίων, ἄναξ ἀνάκτων, | |
ταῖς λιτῇσιν εὐχαῖς δεσποίνης ἀπειράνδρου | |
μητρὸς τοῦ ἑνὸς τῆς σῆς ὑπερουσίου | |
υἱοῦ καὶ λόγου γεννηθέντος ἀφθόρως, | |
καὶ πάντων καθεξῆς ἀπ᾽ αἰῶνος ἁγίων, | |
ῥῦσαι ταύτην τὴν ποίμνην ἐκ πάσης τρικυμίας, | |
καὶ παντοίων πημάτων δυσμενοῦς τοῦ Βελίαρ, | |
καὶ ἀξίωσον στάσεως δεξιτερινῆς ὁμοῦ | |
τὸν ποιμένα τῇ ποίμνῃ σὺν τοῖς ἐντευξομένοις, | |
ἅμα τε τῷ γράψαντι καὶ τῷ τάξαντι ταῦτα. | |
Πᾶσιν ἀναπτύσσουσι τὴν θείαν πτυκτὴν ταύτην, | |
ἐκλιπαρεῖται, λιτάζεσθ᾽ ὑπὲρ τούτου | |
τοῦ προτρεψαμένου τε καὶ ταῦτα γραψαμένου, | |
καὶ ἀνέσεως τυχεῖν ἐν τῇ φοβερᾷ ἡμέρᾳ. |

Comment | Text of Bandini (1764: 390) modified by DBBE. According to Vassis (2005: 806) and Bandini (1764: 390), this epigram consists of 28 verses. The last five verses, however, constitute a separate poem (type 5237). |
