Παθῶν πρὶν ἐν γῇ βασιλεύσας προφρόνως
ἄριστος ἡμῖν μυστολέκτης εὑρέθης·
ἄνω δὲ τανῦν συντελῶν τῷ δεσπότῃ
δίδου συνεῖναι ταῦτά σοι διατέλους,
τῶν σῶν λόγων μάλιστα ὡς ἐξημμένῳ,
ταύτην γὰρ αἰτῶ διὰ πάντων τὴν χάριν
οἷς εἰς ἓν ὡδὶ σῶν πονημάτων τάδε
πόνῳ συνῆψα καὶ ζεούσῃ καρδίᾳ
θύτης μοναστὴς τοὔνομα Ἰωάσαφ,
μονῆς φιλίας σοὶ Ξανθοπούλων ἁγίων,
βέλτιστε ἀνδρῶν Νικόλαε, κλέος λόγων.
