| Comment | De Montfaucon translates this poem as if the two names mentioned at the first verse pertain to one person; De Montfaucon (1715: 127): 'secunda [inscriptio red.] a quo scriptus', whereas we have two persons, a sponsor Meletios; Vogel (1966: 330): 'Μελετίου πόνημα (...) Ist wohl im Sinne eines Bestellers aufzufassen', and a scribe Neilos'. |
