βέλτιστον οὐδὲν ἢ καλῶν γνῶσις λόγων
γένος γὰρ ἡμῶν ἡ λόγων βρῶσις τρέφει
δῶρον βροτοῖς νέμουσα τὴν πανδαισίαν
ἐν ᾗ ποθεινὸς τοῖς βροτοῖς ἑστιάτωρ
ὀ παμμέγιστος Βασίλειος τυγχάνει.
