Honored is Luke, the third evangelist,
to eat the bread of life, Christ,
the one who shone after three days in the grave,
the one to whom Paul himself, who reaches the third heaven
and heard words beyond the wisdom
and reason, showed him the teaching.
What a great teacher Luke had!
In this way, fully assured from the heavens,
He tells the gods in a godly way,
Fiery speaker, wise harbinger of God.
