	Ἄλλος μὲν ἄλλα συλλέγει καὶ συνέχει·
	χρυσόν, λίθους, μάργαρον, ἔσθη ποικίλα·
	ἐγὼ δὲ τοὺς σοὺς ὡς μέγαν πλοῦτον λόγους,
	μέγιστε Βασίλειε, θαῦμα τῶν λόγων,
	ἔχω συνάξας ἄλλον ἄλλοθεν πόθῳ·
	κατατρυφῶ τε τῶν σοφῶν νοημάτων
	καὶ τέρπομαι μάλιστα ταῖς θεωρίαις.
	ναὶ μὴν τυποῦμαι καὶ ῥυθμίζομαι τρόπους
	τοῖς ἠθικοῖς σου τοῖς παραινέταις λόγοις,
	Γεώργιος σὸς ἐν μονασταῖς οἰκέτης.
