	αἴτνη τί ἐστι(ν) ἰταλ(ῶν) ὄρος μέγα,
	ἐξ ἧς ταρρεῖ παμφάγου πυρὸ(ς) νᾶμα
	έχρι πολίχνης κατάνης λεγομένης·
	οιβδεῖ δὲ δεινῶς ὡς ποταμὸ(ς) ἐκρέον·
	νεῦμα γ(ὰ)ρ ἐμπεσὸν τ(αῖς) κοιλάσι·
	ισσήρε(ως) νάφθης τε πεπληρωμένον
	ωροῦν σοβαρῶς ἐκπυροῦτ(αι) (?) τῆ βία;
	ὑρὸν δὲ ταῖς σήραγξιν ὕδωρ ἐκρέον
	ναφλογωθὲν ἐξανήπτει πῦρ ῥέον
