Manuscript MOSCOW - Gosudarstvennyj Istoričeskij Musej (GIM) - Sinod. gr. 400 (Vlad. 17) [12th c.]
Place in Manuscript f. 2v
Palaeographical information The text is partly faded, which has made the first verse illegible.
Contextual information It is followed by another epigram and a short prosaic note.
Metre(s) Dodecasyllable
Genre(s) Author-related epigram
Subject(s) Matthew (evangelist, saint) (1st c.)
Comment Treu (1966: 246) gives no text but refers to von Soden (1902: 853) and mentions that the latter provides only the incipits.
It is not clear whether the reading 'μυστηρίου' is Soden's misreading resulting in a 13 syllables verse, since our type reads 'μυστικῶς'.
