πρᾶξαι, ὑμνοπόλοις φοῖβος ἔδοκε μόνοις.
ἠρὼ παρθένος λείανδρός τε βροτοίπερ ἐόντες,
εἰσὶ δὲ ἀθανάτοιο τερψινόοις ἔπεσι
εἰδὴ μουσαῖός τις ἔμ' ὑμνήσαιτο θανόντα
αυτίκα τεθναίην, ὄφρα βίοιο τύχω.
