Καὶ τοῦτο γε ἐγράφη νῦν μετὰ τῆς ἐξορίας,
τὸ τῆς δευτέρας λέγω δὴ τῆς τοῦ πατριαρχίου
διὰ χειρὸς δε τῆς ἐμεῖς, συμέων ἀμαθοῦς τε·
οἱ δὲ μέλλοντες ἅπτεσθαι· καὶ ταῦτην ἀναγνῶντες,
ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ τοῦ ἀλιτροῦ καὶ τάχα πατριάρχου,
εὔχεσθαι συγχωρήσατε καὶ λέγειν ὁλοψύχος·
συγχώρησον συγχώρησον καὶ σύγγνωθι, Χριστέ μου,
ψυχὴν ἀνδρὸς ἀμαρτωλοῦ τοῦ γράψαντος τὴν ταύτην
ψυχωφελῆ βιβλίδα τε καὶ πάνη ὁραιωτάτην·
ὁ δὲ Χριστὸς καὶ Κύριος καὶ Θεὸς μου καὶ πλάστης
καὶ ὑμᾶς ἐλεήσειε καὶ ἐσταὶ ἱλεημένοι.+
