ἐπίγραμμα εἰς τὸ ὁμηρικ(ὴν) βίβλ(ον) θεοδ(ώ)ρ(ου) γαζῆ ἀνδρὸ(ς) σοφοῦ
 
εἰμὶ σμυρναίοιο ἀοιδοῦ δέλτος ὁμήρου
κτῆμα δὲ δῖος ἀνὴρ βησσαρίων με ἔχει·
ἀλλ’ ὦ ζεῦ ἄνα βησσαριωνος κήδεο ἀνδρός
σειρὴν ὃς τελέθει ἑλλάδος ἡδυτάτη·
ἡδὺ ῥόδον τὲ ἴον τέ γε. ἡδὺ κρίνον τὲ κρόκος τε
ἀλλ’ ὅδε ἄνθος ἔφυ (…) ἥδου ἐκπρεπέ(ως)
μουσῶν ἐν λειμῶνι ὃς ἄνθεα μυρία ἴσχει
πανθ’ ὅ γε κοσμεῖ ὧ κόσμος ἐκεῖνα πέλει·
μοίραις δὴ λέγε πρόφρων νήθειν ἀνδρὶ τὰ λῶστα
ἐλκούσας χρυσῆς ἐκ λῖνα εἰλακάτης
χρύσεα πάντ’ ἐκ μοιρῶν εἴη ἀνδρὶ χρυσέω·
αἱ δ᾽ ὧραι βιοτῆς πλεῖστα διδοῖεν ἔτη:-

According to Mioni (1981: 209), ff. I-II were taken from the Marc. gr. 456, which contains the Iliad and the Odyssey. In its original context the poem used to function as a book epigram.
