The codex has been copied by two main scribes - one of whom is Theopemptos -, but these verses, alongside the poem they reply to, on f. 277r are written by another hand.
Contextual information The epigram is preceded by a complimentary poem of Ioannes Lithargites, addressed to the scribe Theopemptus.
