| Contextual information | This poem is followed by a short note in prose which appears to be closely related to the preceding treatise of Stephen of Byzantium, if not being a part of it.: 'Ἔαρες· ἔθνος ἰνδι|κὸν τῶν μετὰ δω|ριάδου διονύσωι | πολεμησάντων· | διονύσιος ἐν βασ|σαρικῶν δ'· Οἱ δὲ | θοῶς προγένοντο | διωνύσου κατὰ φήμης'. After this note the manuscript comes to an end. |
