Σίγησον ὀρφεῦ καὶ πεφίμωσο στόμα:
τὴν σὴν δὲ ρίψον μουσικωτάτην λύρ(αν):
πόῤῥωθ(εν) οὐ γὰρ ἀστατούσας ἂν φρένας:
θέλγειν δυνηθῆ τ(ῶν) ἀφραινόντ(ων) ἔτι:
δα(υὶ)δ γὰρ ὁ φρόνημα κ(αὶ) τὴν καρδίαν:
χρηστὸς προσηνὴς συμπαθὴς τ(ὴν) κιννύρ(αν):·
αὐτὴν τινάξας τ(ῶν) θεοπνεύστων λόγων:
αὐτῆς ἀπημαύρωσε τὰς μελουργί(ας):
καὶ δαιμόν(ων) ἔλυσε μηχανουργί(ας)·
καὶ τῆς πλάνης ἔπαυσε τὴν δεινὴν μέθην:·
μελ(ῶν) τε θεί(ων) εἷλξεν ἡδυφωνίαις:
ἅπαντα κόσμον πρὸς μί(αν) συμφωνί(αν):·
