γηράσασα γὰρ ἡ φύσις ἀπεψύγη
εντεῦθεν ὥσπερ ξηρὰ προσμένουσά πως·
ἄνικμός ἐστι καὶ λοιπὸν οὐ μανθάνει.
ἂν οὖν ποθῇς, ἄνθρωπε, καὶ μαθεῖν θέλεις
