μέσον ἵσταμαι τῆς γαίας καὶ τοῦ πόλου,
τρίγραμμος εἰμὶ συλλαβὴν φέρω μίαν,
ὁ ψῆφος μου χίλια πεντακόσια
ὁ εὑρών με σοφὸς ὢν τῶν γραμμάτων,
ὁ δὲ μὴ εὑρών με οὐκ οἶδε τὸ ἄλφα,
καὶ ὑπάρχει σὺν τῶ βῆτα ο καὶ δέλτα.
