Palaeographical information Written in Alexandrinische Auszeichnungsmajuskel, in red ink. The epigram is written continuously, but the scribe was conscious of the poetic nature of the text, since the separation of the verses is marked by punctuation signs. Moreover, the initial letters of each verse are enlarged.
Contextual information The poem is preceded by another epigram, inc. 'Πεπείραμαι κυροῦν, ἐν βραχέσι πλεῖστα'. On the following folio John Klimax' Heavenly Ladder begins.
The two epigrams are separated by three red crosses.
