Ševčenko (1962: 272): 'Luxury manuscript executed under the auspices of Basil II'.
Mioni (1981: 31) dates the manuscript to the last years of 10th C., but Cutler (1984: 115) to ca. 1004.
Spatharakis (1976: 25-26): 'The Marciana Psalter was surely offered to Basil II during the celebrations following the final destruction of Samuel’s Empire in 1018'. |
