Comment | Marava-Chatzinicolaou (1997: 156): 'The codex was given to the monastery of St. John Prodromos at Serres by the most illustrious archon Matthew Angelos Palaeologos Kalodioiketos, according to the 15th c. dedication on fol. 273v. It is a further indication that such outstanding manuscripts were donated to the monasteries by archons and relatives of imperial families.' |
